LUXOR ART GALLERY

DOMINIQUE NAVARRO — Curator & Founder

Since 2018, Dominique established the contemporary art gallery Luxor Art Gallery, working with the local community of contemporary artists to highlight the living art scene within the ancient Egyptian environment of Luxor, Egypt. Today, Luxor Art Gallery has presented artwork by over 75 artists in the gallery and on the website, with numerous group and solo exhibitions, art workshops, field trips, music performances and social gatherings. The gallery has been a meeting point for Egyptian locals, families, art students, Egyptologists, and tourists to meet and share their love of the arts.

Luxor Art Gallery features up-and-coming talent as well as internationally renowned artists including Dr. Alaa Awad, Katrina Vrebalovich, Britt Boutros Ghali, Ali Hassaan, Izabela Uchman, Ghada Embarek, and Khaled Abul-Dahab.

Luxor Art Gallery is an opportunity to highlight exceptional cultural significance for Egypt by:

  • providing opportunities for Upper Egyptian (southern rural) contemporary artists, including women and men of all ages, to showcase their work to a global audience, including international tourists and online contemporary art communities;

  • emphasize Luxor as a significant cultural destination not only for its ancient heritage, but also as a contemporary art establishment;

  • and as a positive collaboration between Egyptians and Americans, as well as other international art colleagues
